House/Team Leader
45 hours per week (Mon – Fri) * includes out of hours on-call rota and occasional weekends in line with the service needs and agreed in advance*
Salary: £12.75 per hour
This role will be responsible for leading a team of support workers in the day-to-day delivery of individual support plans and activities, so that our young people can achieve their goals. Working in a fast-paced environment and under the direction of the Service Manager, the House leader will undertake regular reviews of agreed support plans to ensure the needs of our young people are continuously being met effectively.
The post holder would also be expected to support and participate in the duty on-call rota.
Applicants should have previous experience working in a support worker role with young people who are leaving care/at risk of being homeless and those who display behaviours that challenge.
Applicants should also display leadership qualities and a solution focused approach to problem solving.

A&V Transitional Homes offers a range of support for young people aged 16-25 moving from looked after services. We prepare, educate, and assist young people leaving care so they are equipped enough to overcome the difficulty’s that may arise when moving onto independent living.
We are looking for highly motivated, caring and compassionate individuals, with a proven track record and the skills and attributes required, to work on a casual/bank basis, within our group living accommodation staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week, as part of a team of support workers.
Applicants should have previous experience working in a support worker role with young people who are leaving care/at risk of being homeless and those who display behaviours that challenge.
Hours are worked on a shift basis covering 7 days a week including nights & weekends. Applicants should have previous experience dealing with young people who are leaving care and those who display behaviours that challenge.
Experience:
Support Worker – Children/Young People (or similar role): 6 months (Required)
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (Required)
